Online application system for PMRDF admissions, 2014

                                       Candidates are requested to read through the below mentioned important points before proceeding to fill the online application form:

                                       Government of India has announced 20 Prime Minister's Rural Development Fellowships exclusively for the
                                       Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) State.The fellowship is not restricted to candidates form J& K alone all candidates
                                       interested to be engaged as PMRDF in J&K State can apply on orbefore 20th December 2013. The eligibility and
                                       terms and conditions shall remain the same for the fellowships as proposed in the PMRDFs guidelines.

The eligibility criteria for selection as a PMRD Fellow shall be the following:

A. Essential criteria:-
  1. Age between 22-27 years at the time of application. For candidates belonging to SC/ST category, the maximum age limit will be 32 years.
  2. At least a graduate from a recognized university/institute with a four-year degree course, including those like Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Engineering, Law, Medicine etc., or a post-graduate from a recognized University (in case of a graduate holding degree of a course duration of three years or less). Those with degree from universities outside India that are recognised by Association of Indian Universities can also apply. Only those candidates who have completed all requirements and received degree are eligible to apply.
  3. At least 50% marks in the aggregate or equivalent grade at the graduate or Post-graduate level, whichever is qualifying.
  4. Physical fitness, certified by Government Medical Hospital, for the arduous nature of the work.
B. Desirable criteria:-
  1. Knowledge of local language.
  2. Work experience in the development sector and related fields.
  3. Excellence in extra-curricular activities like art, culture, sports etc. at High School/College level.
  4. Leadership role in College/ High School/ Work Place.

The entrance test would be computer based and candidates have to select a centre in the application form where they would prefer to appear for the entrance examination. Please note that a center once selected cannot be changed and candidates are requested not to write mails or make phone calls regarding centre change.


  1. The application fees is Rs 770 (if being payed by Credit card/ Debit card/ Net Banking) or Rs 750 + bank charges (if being payed through bank by cash). Candidate has to pay this amount for programme. The details have been mentioned below in the section 'Modes of application fee payment'.
  2. However unemployed SC and ST candidates, whose parent's/guardian's annual income for the financial year 2012-13 is less than Rs. 2.5 Lakh have to pay 250 as Application Fee if paying by cash in any branch of the State Bank of India or they have to pay 270 as application Fee if paying online using Credit card/ Debit Card/ Net Banking

Notes : (i) In case of payment by cash deposit in an SBI branch, please note that the SBI will charge Rs. 50/- as their processing fee for each deposit, which cannot be adjusted against the application fee. (ii) Payments made via demand draft, pay order or any made other than the above modes is not acceptable and the application will be rejected. No communication to this effect will be sent to such candidates.

Cash Deposit in any State Bank of India(SBI) Branch using the prescribed challan

1. Once you choose to pay by 'cash' in the application form, you need to download the challan from the 'Download Challan' tab.
2. Deposit the cash amount mentioned on the challan in any branch of the State Bank of India.
3. The bank will return two parts of the challan (Student Copy and PMRDF Copy) along with bank seal, signature and SBI journal number.
4. Candidate has to scan the 'PMRDF Copy' of the challan, login back to the online application system and upload it.
